Packsack Canoe Trips is looking for part time help with our tow service and portage assistance. We are looking for a strong back, and great personality to help with our tow service this coming summer. Our tow service takes folks from Fall Lake across the Newton and Pipestone Portages and up to the Nonmotorized area of Basswood Lake and back. This special person would be responsible for helping secure the wheels under the boat, and helping to push/pull the boat across the portage. It does require the ability to lift up to 75lbs, and pushing the boat at times requires a good amount of strength.
This is a part time position, hours would be mostly mornings, with some early afternoon work as well. We hope to run this service from mid-May to mid-September. Knowledge of using an outboard motor is helpful, but not necessary, we will train on the job for this position.
