Packsack Canoe Trips & Log Cabins is looking for seasonal help with our Towboat team.
The job includes, assisting the Towboat Driver with portaging the towboat, gear, and canoes across the Newton and Pipestone Portages. Also portaging canoes on wheels down the 4-mile Portage. This is a physically demanding job, being able to lift up to 75 lbs is a plus. The job details helping lift the front of the boat and putting wheels under the boat, assisting with securing the wheels to the boat, and helping push/pull the boat across the ¼ mile portages. While the driver is dropping off the clients on Basswood Lake, you get a break! This is a great way to stay active and in shape in the wilderness all summer long!
This is a part time position, 3-6 hours per day, 4-5 times a week. Most hours are in the morning. We pay $15.00 per hour, plus you have the ability to make good tip money.
