Fall Lake Fishing Report for May 2, 2017

Panfishing off the Docks at Packsack Cano Trips and Log Cabins

Panfish activity is hot right now! As the waters warm further, crappies have moved into the shallows and are quite hungry. Hooks tipped with small minnows under a bobber are working the best; however, a slow drift troll using very small jigs and small minnow are also working. We’re even seeing plenty of hungry crappies and a few sunnies right around our docks. Reminder: crappie and sunnie fishing is open year round.

Ultralight spinning rods are a great way to enjoy panfish fishing this time of year at Fall Lake!

In case you just came out of hibernation this morning, the Minnesota Fishing Opener is May 13.

If you’re interested in renting a log cabin for some great fishing, click here and go to the bottom of the page. Look for a section highlighted in light green for dates where we have cabin openings. You certainly can rent a cabin prior to the fishing opener and enjoy some great panfishing on a quiet lake in a picturesque location
